Fall Concert
The kindergartners did a wonderful job at the Fall Concert! They sang lots of well-known songs and nursery rhymes. It was obvious that they practiced a lot! Great job, everyone!
Sight Word Turkeys
We got a little creative with our sight words. Students made turkeys, and on each feather they wrote one of our Kindergarten sight words. There were lots of words to choose from, but students selected seven words to put on colorful feathers. After completing the sight word turkeys, the kids practiced reading the words on their feathers.
Word Hunt
We had lots of fun going on a word scavenger hunt in our classroom! Every student had a list of our sight words, a clipboard, and a pencil. Their job was to search the room for cards with sight words written on them. As soon as they found a sight word card, students had to read the word, find it on their list, and cross it off. Everyone had a great time hunting for words we know!
I found one!
Camouflage Turkeys
If you were a turkey around Thanksgiving time, how would you camouflage yourself? Students took home a paper turkey and their job was to "hide" their turkeys so they wouldn't get eaten on Thanksgiving. They came up with some really creative ideas! We displayed our turkeys in the hallway. Here are pictures of our work.
